    Leaving Terrion
We leave Terrion today. We stayed a bit longer than expected, but for the most mundane of reasons. Reasons which are entirely my fault, not that anyone knows this. After assigning Ation to Sanitation Duty, he managed to over tighten a leaking pipe-joint and flood the recycling facility. We had to land the Intrepid on the planet to clean and repair it, then nearly had to replace the entire ventilation system when we realized that had been damaged, too. I spent the first day helping with the repairs, just to avoid doing any diplomatic duties, until my FO pointed out the dangers of doing this so many times I decided the Ambassador and his wife couldn’t be any more annoying than he was.
The Ambassador to Terrion, Prince Teliar-Pontif-Shetul, is the most boring Andalite I’ve ever met, but he’s well matched with the Terrians. But his wife is extremely nice and after a few days Prince Teliar relaxed a bit and managed a conversation slightly more interesting than fern crops. Slightly. My human friends may say that Andalites have no sense of humor, but that isn’t true. It’s just a more subtle humor than humans are used to. Prince Teliar lacks even that and was quick to inform me time and time again that I spent too long among the ‘uncultured primitives.’ I rather like to think that I’m just setting a new trend among the younger generation. Thought maybe I shouldn’t style myself so. It wouldn’t do to become arrogant.
And, in any case, we have again resumed our journey, though this next leg promises to be as uneventful as the first. I shall write again when I get the chance.

    Terrion
We have arrived at Terrion and will rest here for a day before continuing the mission. I was supposed to inspect the personnel before they went to the planet but my FO seemed at such a loss for something to do, I decided to give him the task instead. There are some very nice things about being a Captain.
And there are some things I would rather not deal with. Ation is still making his presence known every chance he gets. I gave in to temptation a few days ago and assigned him to a full cycle's worth of Sanitation Duty. Other than that, the trip has been rather uneventful. But I will be going to the planet tonight to visit the officials there. Perhaps that will relieve the boredom.

((Let’s pretend Sprint and Real Life didn’t get in the way and I really posted this last week.))

After a few minor delays, we’ve finaly taken off again. The Intrepid has a new mission, one that promises to be interesting, and a new crew member. Ation was assigned to us to replace a technician that requested a transfer, and he’s immediately gotten on my ‘bad side.’ He has a hero worship that I never thought I’d see in the military. Warriors should be professional at all times, but Ation seems to follow me wherever I go on the ship and pesters me with questions, then pretends to be in complete agreement, even if I intentionally say something ridiculous. I’ve never seen such behavior from a Warrior! Maybe from some of the females on the home world, but I never imagined I’d have to deal with such a thing here on my own ship! Still, he is young. Maybe after a few days here he will calm down. In the meantime, I will have to suppress my urge to assign him to the most onerous tasks.
I don’t know how often I’ll be able to update. I probably won’t be able to access the Live Journal until we make our next stop at Terrion. But I will do my best to keep in touch with everyone.

((Ax’s mission isn’t something he would ever put on the internet, for security reasons, but his friends would probably know something about it, so I’ll make it an OOC part of the post. The job of the Intrepid is to hunt down groups from the old Yeerk Empire. There are little cells and extremist groups causing trouble all over the galaxy. The last group they brought in had some interesting information that they gave up in the interrogation; the various groups are starting to become organized, instead of just causing terror at random. They want to reinstate the Yeerk Empire on Earth and to this end, they’ve created a network of groups all over the world. Security is still pretty high so the groups on Earth are mostly the ‘brains’ and they’re gathering the ‘brawn’ elsewhere in the galaxy. They send out ‘scouts’ to find other resisters and bring them into the larger conspiracy, or to send information to waiting armies. The plan is, of course, preposterous and impossible, but not something one can ignore. During Ax’s stay on Earth, he was allowed to participate, but not lead, the attack on the Pool discovered in Libya. Unfortunately, the Pool discovered was pretty low on the food chain and they didn’t know much. The freed hosts can’t be much help intelligence wise, as all business was done in Galard or the Yeerk tongue to avoid just such a thing. Still, the destinations of three scout ships were discovered and the Intrepid was sent to find them.))

    Returned
I apologize for the long absence. My visit to Earth has been more eventful that I expected. It began as a simple exchange of prisoners. After the exchange, I visited several friends who live in Europe. Norlin insisted that my experience with human culture was too juvenile and convinced me to attend a play which I did not understand. I doubt Norlin understood it either, even though he insisted he did.
Then I met with Tobias, whose company is much more enjoyable. He told me that Rachel is alive, and I see she made contact with the others through Tobias’ journal. I must confess, at the time I did not believe him, but it seems he was telling the truth. She really is alive. I am sorry I was busy when she made her appearance, but perhaps I shall see her when we meet on Friday?
The rest of my trip, I’m sorry to say, I can’t tell you about. However, it was very exciting and the people of Northern Africa are quite friendly. Also, the area is fascinating. After the completion of our mission I was allowed to satisfy my curiosity and visit ruins near Alexandra. Fascinating...

((OOC: Jake, since the whole CIA-beat-down-the-bad-guys thing is supposed to be between both of us, I’d really like to talk to you about it, but I can’t seem to find you online. E-mail?))

    A Short Visit
I have returned to Earth for a short time to complete some business. Fortunately, that went smoothly and I will not have to deal with any of the officials from the OGA for the next few days. If they get any follow-up information, which I expect they will, perhaps we will be allowed to perform the ensuing mission. I dislike leaving loose-ends.
My First Officer has been rather 'high-strung' lately. I believe I will leave him in command of the ship while we are here and spend some time on the planet. I've received many communications from Earth-based Andalites asking me to visit them, but strangely I've received no similar requests from my fellow Animorphs.

Which Disney Character is your Alter Ego?

I did not understand the significance of many of these questions. I assume they have something to do with Disney movies, but I have only seen a few. Is it a good thing to be call 'The Beast?' It reminds me of what the Yeerks once called Elfangor.

    Return to Earth
At Marco's instance, I have created this live journal. (Why is it call that? It is not alive, nor are you reading this as I type.)
The Intrepid is returning to Earth once more for what I hope will be a short stay. It's not that I don't like my visits to Earth, or the chance to see all of you, but there is something about being in a ship on a chase that is much more appealing than sitting in a room talking to administrative officials. I cannot release the results of our last mission on the internet, but my crew and I are pleased. And Jake, we will need to discuss a few matters before I arrive.
What exactly does one write in a live journal? Marco, I assume you would know, since you are the one who insisted I do this.

    Random Background
    Some background information for Ax:

Immediately after the war, the newly minted Prince Aximili worked as the official liaison between the Andalite Fleet and Earth. In that capacity, he helped orchestrate many of the first deals made between Andalites and humans, including non-aggression treaties and technology transfers. After a few months, under great pressure from the Andalite electorate, he returned to the Andalite home world. He arrived to a hero's welcome and continued his work as a liaison, both to keep in contact with his friends and because he was the only expert available on humans. He returned to Earth several times, first to attend Visser One's trial, and then in a diplomatic capacity.
As time passed and more Andalites became accustomed to dealing with the humans, he was eased out of this capacity. In recognition of his status as a hero and of the combat skills gained on Earth, the fleet high command made him Captain of the Intrepid. The Intrepid patrols Andalite and former Yeerk Empire territory, searching for escaped Yeerks. He still visits Earth often, as that is where war trials from the Yeerk/Human war are held and to return human-Conrollers. He often works with the humans when on Earth and they share information gathered from former Controllers and prisoner interrogations. Due to this arrangement, he also works as a liaison between the Andalite military and the human civilian defense agencies.
